This case-based discussion will equip attendees with practical strategies to better understand, identify, and address stigma related to medications for alcohol use disorder (MAUD) while exploring diverse recovery pathways that incorporate a range of evidence-based treatments. Through real-world case discussions, participants will examine how stigma—both internalized and external—shapes treatment engagement, decision-making, and recovery environments, particularly within peer recovery communities, and will learn how to build more comprehensive systems of care. Attendees will also gain insight into the role of MAUD in treating alcohol use disorder, understand how stigma manifests across settings, and develop practical strategies to support inclusive, all-encompassing recovery pathways.
