Treatment of Alcohol Use Disorder in Rural Populations

There are many unique challenges to treating alcohol use disorder in rural populations. In this one hour webinar, Dr. Greg Greenberg will discuss the issues that often prevent patients from seeking treatment as well as the options providers have to overcome these obstacles. Attendees will be able to describe some new tools to mitigate the barriers in the treatment of alcohol use disorder (AUD) for patients in rural settings​​, navigate the limited resources for the treatment of alcohol withdrawal​​, examine different approaches to treat AUD in a rural population​, and define some ideas in the use of technology to overcome geographic barriers.
