Outpatient Management of Alcohol Withdrawal

This webinar will explore the epidemiology and clinical presentation of alcohol withdrawal syndrome (AWS), with a focus on identifying patients at risk for developing withdrawal symptoms and related complications. Participants will gain an understanding of the neurobiology of alcohol withdrawal and the underlying mechanisms that contribute to symptom development. The session will also review the Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment for Alcohol, Revised (CIWA-Ar) tool and its role in assessing withdrawal severity. Learners will be equipped with practical strategies to evaluate patients and make informed decisions regarding the safe and effective management of AWS in outpatient settings. This training is available for 1 CE credit.
